We still have a HUGE need for more sponsors for our children and house couples. By sponsoring a child at any of the 3 levels we provide ($25/$50/$75) or any of our house parents at $100 a month (get all 4 foster dolls), helps towards their living cost. Every sponsor level counts and goes a long ways. Please pray and consider sponsoring a child/children or house couple to help meet their needs. Once a child and house couple has reached full sponsorship, they will me marked “Sponsored”

House of James 1 updates/prayer requests: We are celebrating our 4 year anniversary this month since we have opened the doors to our children. It has been a great blessing to see the changes God has made and continuing to make in the lives of our kids and also in the lives of house parents. 9 kids from this house went to church camp last month and they had a wonderful time playing and getting to know God in a different but good way. Now we are getting ready for the school year. Please keep the kids in your prayers as they start school September 1st.

House of James 2 updates/prayer requests: We also had some of the kids from this house attend the camp and they had a wonderful time as well. All the kids have been keeping busy with helping out in the garden, feeding the pigs, chickens, and ducks. They are also getting ready for the school year. We have two girls (Natasha & Deona) going into the 1st grade and they are excited about starting school for the first time in their lives. We are hoping to take in two more kids in by the next month or 2. Please keep us in your prayers as God leads us to the new children and the start of the school year.

House of James 3 updates/prayer requests: Things have been pretty still and quite at the work site of the home. But that is all going to change this month with the help of our good friends from Holland. They have donated 10,000 Euros or $12,500 American dollars to continue the work. Praise God!!! We also are expected to receive $4,500 this month from a wonderful church in Brighton, Michigan to help with the project. Please pray as God continues to lay it on people’s hearts as they give towards making this home ready for more kids.

Featured child of the month: Vica from House of James 1
Vica was are very first child at House of James Ministries and what a huge blessing she has been to all of us. When we first brought her into the home she was just 11 years old and had no hopes to a bright future. Now she is 15 and has dreams of being a teacher and helping kids that have been in her type of situation before coming to HOJ 1. She has and continues to be a huge help around the house by taking care of the little ones when needed and also setting a good example to all the other kids.
